It is hard to believe that once again it is membership renewal time. For those of you who renew prior to January 1, 2021 and were as a paid member in 2020, you will receive a discounted renewal rate of $250.00 (a savings of $100.00). For new members and those renewing on or after January 1, 2021, the renewal rate is $350.00. Renewals can be done on our website via credit card. While this has been an extremely crazy year to say the least, despite it all, our chapter has remained strong and it has paid off. I am proud to announce that due to the time and effort devoted by our Executive Board we have been named a “5 Star” Council for the second year in a row. This is an extremely prestigious title given to those who have offered an exceptional level of service to their members. As a benefit of receiving this award our council will receive an entire year of complimentary group webinars which we will schedule throughout the year in addition to our regular programs. Please remember that in addition to the benefits offered by our local chapter, you are also entitled to many benefits offered by the National Estate Planning Council which you can find on their website. While it has been disappointing to not see everyone in person, it is our hope that we will be able to resume in person meetings in the upcoming year. We have a sensational line-up of speakers and topics for the upcoming year and we have secured the Melville Marriott for Breakfast meetings and Blackstone Steakhouse for our dinner meetings. Lastly, as a reminder member can apply for the designation of an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) if certain criteria are met. One member can be appointed for each category represented by our council.
